Ethical Fashion

According to the Ethical Fashion Forum, ‘ethical fashion’ refers to  ‘an approach to the design, sourcing and manufacture of clothing which maximises benefits to people and communities while minimising impact on the environment”.

There’s no set code for what defines a company or a garment as being ‘ethical’ but it usually consists of, but doesn’t tick all the boxes of: workers paid living wage, workers given freedom to organise, workers given decent working hours, good working conditions, no animal cruelty, cotton grown organically, no harmful chemicals used, methods used to reduce impact on the environment.
